Thyme Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 17, 2026
Last Updated: September 17, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Thyme, an application developed by Rufhy.

By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using Thyme, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Thyme.

Your use of Thyme may also be subject to applicable terms and policies of Apple, including terms governing the App Store and your Apple account.

2. About Thyme

Thyme is a time-tracking and work-management application that may provide features including:

  • Projects, Buckets, and Tasks

  • Time tracking and time entries

  • Pay periods

  • Earnings and estimated tax calculations

  • Work goals

  • Clock-in reminders

  • Apple Watch functionality

  • Widgets, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island

  • Business profiles

  • Client and project information

  • Invoicing

  • Data backup and restoration

  • CSV, PDF, invoice, and other exports

  • App Lock and other device-based security features

Available features may vary depending on your version of Thyme, device, operating system, and subscription plan.

3. Thyme Free, Plus, and Pro

Thyme may offer three levels of service:

Thyme Free provides basic time-tracking functionality with limitations on workspace size and access to premium features.

Thyme Plus provides additional functionality intended for users who want expanded time-tracking and productivity features.

Thyme Pro provides Thyme's highest level of functionality, including additional business, data-management, customization, and invoicing features.

Features included with each plan may change over time. Current plan details are displayed in Thyme or its App Store listing.

Free Plan Workspace Limits

Thyme Free currently supports:

  • 1 Project

  • Up to 3 Buckets within the available Project

  • Up to 2 Tasks within each available Bucket

Additional Projects, Buckets, or Tasks created while using a paid plan may remain stored and visible after a downgrade, but access to or modification of items outside the Free plan allowance may be restricted.

Renaming or reorganizing existing items does not necessarily change which workspace items are available under the Free plan.

4. Paid Subscriptions

Thyme Plus and Thyme Pro may be offered as automatically renewing subscriptions through Apple's App Store.

Available subscription options may include:

  • Thyme Plus monthly

  • Thyme Pro monthly

  • Thyme Pro annually

Prices are displayed in the App Store and in Thyme before purchase and may vary by country, region, currency, taxes, or other factors determined by Apple.

Payment is processed through your Apple account.

Rufhy does not directly process your App Store payment-card information through Thyme.

5. Introductory Trials

Eligible users may be offered an introductory trial for certain Thyme Pro subscriptions, including a 7-day introductory trial where available.

Eligibility for an introductory offer is determined through Apple's App Store systems.

Unless canceled before the trial ends in accordance with Apple's applicable subscription rules, the subscription may automatically convert to the applicable paid subscription at the price presented when the subscription was started.

The availability, eligibility, duration, and terms of introductory offers may be subject to Apple's rules and the offer presented at the time of purchase.

6. Automatic Renewal and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled in accordance with Apple's App Store subscription rules.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account or through the subscription-management options provided by Apple.

Deleting Thyme does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.

Cancellation generally prevents future renewal and does not necessarily terminate access immediately. Access may continue until the end of the applicable paid subscription period, subject to Apple's policies.

Refund requests and billing disputes for App Store purchases are generally handled according to Apple's applicable policies.

7. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Subscription Expiration

Changing, canceling, or allowing a Thyme subscription to expire may change which features are available to you.

For example, moving from Thyme Pro to Thyme Plus or Free may restrict access to features available only with Pro. Moving from Plus to Free may restrict paid time-tracking and productivity features.

A downgrade or subscription expiration does not automatically delete your existing Thyme workspace data solely because your plan changed.

Existing Projects, Buckets, Tasks, entries, invoices, or other information may remain stored locally while certain actions or premium functionality become unavailable.

You remain responsible for exporting, backing up, or otherwise preserving information that is important to you.

8. Time Tracking

Thyme provides tools to assist you with recording and organizing time.

You are responsible for starting, stopping, reviewing, correcting, and verifying your time entries.

Device conditions, software behavior, operating-system restrictions, user error, interrupted timers, background execution, synchronization between devices, or other circumstances may affect time-tracking information.

You should review important time records before using them for payroll, billing, invoicing, employment records, or other consequential purposes.

Thyme is not an official employer timekeeping, payroll, or attendance system unless independently adopted and verified for such use by the appropriate organization.

9. Earnings, Pay, and Tax Estimates

Thyme may calculate estimated gross earnings, estimated net earnings, hourly earnings, tax amounts, or other financial figures using information you provide.

These calculations are provided for informational and organizational purposes only.

Thyme and Rufhy do not provide tax, accounting, payroll, financial, investment, employment, or legal advice.

Estimated taxes or net earnings may not reflect your actual tax liability, withholding, deductions, credits, benefits, payroll practices, local requirements, or other circumstances.

You are responsible for verifying financial information and consulting an appropriate qualified professional when necessary.

10. Business Profiles and Client Information

Thyme Pro may allow you to store business, project, and client information for use with business and invoicing features.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to enter, store, use, and export information relating to clients, businesses, employees, contractors, or other third parties.

You are also responsible for the accuracy of information you enter.

11. Invoices

Thyme may allow eligible users to generate and manage invoices based on tracked time and information supplied by the user.

You are responsible for reviewing every invoice before sending or relying upon it.

Rufhy does not guarantee that an invoice generated by Thyme:

  • Is accurate or complete

  • Satisfies legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory requirements

  • Creates an enforceable payment obligation

  • Is appropriate for a particular business or jurisdiction

  • Will be accepted or paid by a client

You are responsible for invoice numbers, rates, taxes, client details, payment information, line items, due dates, totals, and other invoice content.

Thyme is an invoicing tool and is not a payment processor, accountant, tax preparer, attorney, or collection service.

12. Location-Based Reminders

Thyme may offer location-based Clock-In Reminders.

These features depend on device permissions, Apple location services, background behavior, operating-system conditions, and other factors outside Rufhy's control.

A location-based reminder is a convenience feature and should not be relied upon as the sole method for determining whether you should begin or end a work session.

You remain responsible for accurately recording your work time.

13. Notifications

Thyme may provide notifications for reminders, work goals, timer-related information, and other functionality.

Notifications are not guaranteed to arrive at a particular time or at all. Delivery may depend on device settings, permissions, Focus modes, operating-system behavior, and other factors.

You should not rely on a Thyme notification as your sole method of remembering a time-sensitive or consequential obligation.

14. Apple Watch

Certain Thyme plans may provide Apple Watch functionality.

Information displayed on Apple Watch may depend on communication between your paired devices and may occasionally be delayed, unavailable, or temporarily different from information displayed on another device.

You are responsible for reviewing important time records in Thyme before relying upon them.

15. Widgets, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island

Thyme may display information through widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island, or other Apple system interfaces.

Information displayed through these interfaces may not always refresh immediately and may be affected by operating-system scheduling or device conditions.

The primary records stored by Thyme should be reviewed when accuracy is important.

16. App Lock and Device Security

Eligible versions of Thyme may offer App Lock or device-authentication functionality.

These features are intended as additional conveniences and do not guarantee that unauthorized access is impossible.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security for your device, device passcode, Apple account, exported files, and backups.

17. Backups and Restore

Thyme may allow eligible users to create and restore backups.

You are responsible for creating backups when appropriate and for safely storing backup files.

Rufhy does not guarantee that a backup will always be available, complete, compatible with every future version, or capable of restoring every item under every circumstance.

You should verify important information after a restore.

18. Exports and Shared Files

Thyme may allow you to generate or share CSV files, JSON backups, invoices, PDFs, or other files.

Once you export or share information outside Thyme, its storage, security, availability, and handling may depend on the destination you select.

You are responsible for protecting exported files, particularly when they contain business, client, financial, or other sensitive information.

19. Local Data and Data Loss

Thyme primarily stores workspace data locally on your device.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for creating appropriate backups or exports of information that is important to you.

Data may be lost because of circumstances including device loss, damage, deletion, software problems, resets, operating-system behavior, user actions, or other events.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rufhy is not responsible for data loss that could not reasonably have been prevented by Rufhy.

20. Start Fresh and Data Deletion

Thyme may provide a Start Fresh or similar reset feature that removes or resets locally stored information.

Reset and deletion actions may be irreversible.

You should review the information presented by Thyme and create any desired backup before performing a reset or deletion.

The exact information affected may depend on the version of Thyme and the options presented when the reset is performed.

21. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Thyme.

You may not use Thyme to:

  • Violate applicable law

  • Infringe the rights of another person

  • Intentionally interfere with or disrupt Thyme

  • Attempt to circumvent security or subscription-access mechanisms

  • Reverse engineer, modify, or distribute Thyme except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law

  • Use Thyme in a manner that violates the rights of Rufhy, Apple, or another party

22. Intellectual Property

Thyme, including its software, design, branding, graphics, interfaces, and other original content, is owned by Rufhy or its applicable licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you permission to use Thyme for its intended purposes. They do not transfer ownership of Thyme or Rufhy intellectual property to you.

23. Availability and Changes to Thyme

Rufhy may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features of Thyme.

Rufhy may also change which features are associated with Free, Plus, or Pro, subject to applicable law and App Store requirements.

Rufhy does not guarantee that every feature will remain available indefinitely or operate on every device or future operating-system version.

24. Updates

Thyme may receive software updates that add, modify, fix, or remove functionality.

Certain features may require a supported version of iOS, watchOS, or other Apple software.

Continuing to use Thyme after an update may be subject to the then-current version of these Terms.

25. Warranty Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Thyme is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Rufhy does not warrant that Thyme will always be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, secure, or available, or that every defect will be corrected.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

26. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rufhy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from or relating to your use of or inability to use Thyme, including losses associated with time records, earnings estimates, tax estimates, invoices, business records, exported files, reminders, or locally stored data.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

27. Termination

You may stop using Thyme at any time and may cancel an applicable paid subscription through Apple.

Rufhy may restrict or terminate access to Thyme or particular functionality where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, protect Thyme or its users, or address misuse, subject to applicable law and Apple's platform requirements.

Termination or subscription cancellation does not necessarily delete locally stored Thyme data.

28. Privacy

Your use of Thyme is also governed by the Thyme Privacy Policy, which explains Thyme's local-first architecture and how information is handled.

The Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms.

29. Changes to These Terms

Rufhy may update these Terms as Thyme, its subscription offerings, applicable laws, or operational requirements change.

The Last Updated date will identify the latest revision.

Where required, material changes may be communicated through Thyme or other appropriate means.

Your continued use of Thyme after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
