How We Make Our Treats

Every tasty treat we make starts with high-quality cuts of meat from local butchers and stores right here in the Chicago area. We hand-trim each piece with care, snipping off extra fat (when needed) to keep things lean, clean, and full of protein-powered goodness.
Next, it’s time for a little slow and steady wins the flavor race. Depending on the type of meat, we dehydrate each batch for anywhere from 20 to 48 hours at low heat. This slow dehydration process helps lock in flavor while making the treats perfectly shelf-stable.
But we’re not done yet! After dehydration, we give the treats a quick blast in a 500°F oven. This final flash of heat is our way of ensuring that any lingering bacteria is killed — keeping your pup’s snacks as safe and long-lasting as possible.
Once cool, each treat is packed into a resealable bag with a food-safe moisture packet to keep things fresh. Then, we heat seal it up and label it with everything you need to know: what kind of treat it is, when it was made, and how long it’s safe to snack on (though honestly, we’ve yet to meet a pup who hasn’t finished the bag way before that date!).
It all ties back to our belief: Natural food is happy food.
